1980 Dominican Republic Embassy siege in Bogotá

Result All hostages are released, captors flee to Cuba.
M-19 guerrillas seized the Dominican Republic embassy in Bogotá during a reception and held about sixty people, including many ambassadors. After a two-month standoff the hostages were freed and the captors flew to Cuba.
