Anglo-Zulu War

January 11 – July 4, 1879

Britain invaded the Zulu Kingdom to bring it into a South African confederation. The Zulu army destroyed a British column at Isandlwana, but the British won at Ulundi, captured King Cetshwayo and broke up the kingdom.
