Series of five Israeli assaults (24 May – 18 July 1948) on the Tegart fort at Latrun, held by Transjordan's Arab Legion under Glubb Pasha. All failed; the Tel Aviv–Jerusalem road stayed cut until the Burma Road bypass opened.
