Paraguay campaign
September 1810 – March 1811
The Buenos Aires junta sent an army under Manuel Belgrano to bring Paraguay under its control. Paraguayan forces defeated it at Paraguarí and Tacuarí, and Paraguay soon broke from both Spain and Buenos Aires.
