Sheikh Said rebellion
February 13, 1925 – March 1925 · Elazığ Province
Kurds led by Sheikh Said rose against the new Turkish Republic after the abolition of the caliphate. Turkish forces crushed the revolt and hanged Sheikh Said and other leaders.
