Siege of Bharatpur (1805)

Result Jat - Maratha victory
A British East India Company army under Lord Lake besieged the fortress of Bharatpur, whose Jat ruler had sheltered the Maratha leader Holkar. Four assaults failed with heavy losses, and the raja then made peace with the British.
