Soviet–Lithuanian Mutual Assistance Treaty

Lithuania allowed Soviet troops and bases on its territory. In return, the Soviet Union gave Lithuania the Vilnius region, which it had taken from Poland. The Soviets used their bases to occupy Lithuania in 1940.
