Turkish invasion of Armenia
September 23 – December 2, 1920 · South Caucasus
Turkish nationalist forces under Kâzım Karabekir invaded the Democratic Republic of Armenia and took Kars. Armenia had to give up much of its territory, and soon after it fell to the Soviet Red Army.
