Zhejiang-Jiangxi campaign
May 15 – September 6, 1942
Japanese forces advanced through Zhejiang and Jiangxi to destroy airfields used by Doolittle raiders and punish Chinese support for them. They caused heavy civilian casualties before withdrawing.
