Ebrahim Raisi

Ebrahim Raisi (1960–2024) was an Iranian cleric and politician who served as president of Iran from 2021 until his death in a helicopter crash in 2024. A protégé of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, he was the second Iranian president to die in office. He previously held several positions in Iran's judicial system, including prosecutor of Tehran.
