Partition of Bengal
Territorial reorganisation of the Bengal Presidency ordered by Viceroy Lord Curzon, taking effect 16 October 1905. It split the largely Muslim east from the largely Hindu west, provoking the Swadeshi boycott movement. Annulled 12 December 1911 at the Delhi Durbar.
