Second Soviet-Finnish War

The Second Soviet-Finnish War, also known as the Continuation War, was fought by Finland and Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union during World War II, from 25 June 1941 to 19 September 1944. Finland sought to regain territory lost in the Winter War and advanced into East Karelia, also participating in the siege of Leningrad. The Soviet Vyborg-Petrozavodsk offensive in 1944 drove the Finns back, and the Moscow Armistice required Finland to cede Petsamo, lease the Porkkala Peninsula, pay reparations, and expel German troops from its territory.
