The French Toulon fleet under Vice-Admiral Pierre-Charles Villeneuve, joined by Spanish ships under Federico Gravina. It sailed to the West Indies to draw the British away from the Channel, returned to Spain and was destroyed at Trafalgar. Strength here is ships of the line.
