Edward Heath

Edward Heath (1916–2005) was a British statesman who served as prime minister of the United Kingdom from 1970 to 1974 and leader of the Conservative Party from 1965 to 1975. He served 51 years as a member of Parliament, from 1950 to 2001. During World War II he served as an officer in the Royal Artillery.
