Elliot Richardson

Elliot Richardson (1920–1999) was an American lawyer and politician who held four cabinet positions in the Nixon and Ford administrations between 1970 and 1977. As attorney general he played a prominent role in the Watergate scandal, resigning in protest over President Nixon's order to fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox. During World War II he served as a combat medic and took part in the Normandy invasion.
