George Wallace

George Wallace (1919-1998) was an American politician and lawyer who was the 45th and longest-serving governor of Alabama, serving in 1963-1967, 1971-1979 and 1983-1987. He sought the presidential nomination three times as a Democrat and once with the American Independent Party, carrying five states in the 1968 presidential election.
