Lewis F. Powell Jr.

Lewis F. Powell Jr. (1907–1998) was an American lawyer and jurist who served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1972 to 1987. Before joining the Court he was a corporate lawyer in Richmond, Virginia, and served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.
