William R. Day

William R. Day (1849–1923) was an American diplomat and jurist who served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1903 to 1922. Earlier he served as U.S. Secretary of State during the administration of William McKinley, holding the office during the 1898 Spanish–American War. He had previously been a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
