March 18–19, 1808 · Aranjuez

Crowds and soldiers rose against the royal favourite Manuel Godoy at the palace of Aranjuez. King Charles IV gave up the throne to his son Ferdinand VII, which opened the way for Napoleon's intervention in Spain.
