Walter Mondale

Walter Mondale (1928–2021) was an American politician who served as the 42nd vice president of the United States from 1977 to 1981 under President Jimmy Carter. A Democrat, he represented Minnesota in the U.S. Senate from 1964 to 1976, having earlier served as Minnesota's attorney general from 1960 to 1964. He was the Democratic nominee in the 1984 presidential election, which he lost to Ronald Reagan.
