William P. Rogers (1913–2001) was an American politician, diplomat, and attorney who served as U.S. Secretary of State from 1969 to 1973 in the administration of Richard Nixon and as Attorney General from 1957 to 1961 in the administration of Dwight D. Eisenhower. As Secretary of State he was overshadowed by National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger, who succeeded him in 1973.
