Mexican Revolution
November 20, 1910 – December 1, 1920
Extended sequence of armed conflicts from 20 November 1910 to 1 December 1920 that overthrew the decades-long dictatorship of Porfirio Diaz. The northern Constitutionalist faction prevailed and drafted the 1917 Constitution of Mexico; the conflict killed around one million people, mostly non-combatants, and is considered the defining event of modern Mexican history.
