Joe Biden
Joe Biden is an American retired politician who served as the 46th president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009 and served as the 47th vice president under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. As a senator he chaired the Judiciary and Foreign Relations Committees and led passage of the Violent Crime Control Act and the Violence Against Women Act.

Joe Biden represented Delaware in the US Senate from 1973 to 2009, where he chaired the Judiciary and Foreign Relations committees. He was Vice President under Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017.
He defeated Donald Trump in the 2020 election and was the 46th President of the United States from 2021 to 2025. His administration led the COVID-19 vaccination drive, passed large laws on infrastructure, semiconductors and climate spending, and ended the US war in Afghanistan with a chaotic withdrawal in 2021.
He rallied Western support for Ukraine after Russia's 2022 invasion. In July 2024, after a poor debate performance raised concerns about his age, he withdrew from the presidential race and endorsed Kamala Harris.
