Polish–Soviet War
The Polish-Soviet War was fought from 14 February 1919 to 18 March 1921 between the Second Polish Republic and Soviet Russia. Poland, led by Jozef Pilsudski, sought to restore its pre-1772 borders, while Lenin's Russia viewed Poland as a corridor for spreading revolution into Europe. The war ended with the Treaty of Riga, which fixed Poland's eastern border.
